1993 Bridgeport Series I Knee Mill

Up for sale is this 1993 Bridgeport knee mill. This is a 2HP Series 1 that has the 2J variable speed head with an RPM range of 60-4200. This has the large 9″ X 48″ table as well as chrome ways on the Y axis. It is equipped with a 2 axis Anilam DRO, Bridgeport 8F power feed for the X axis, and a Kurt air operated power drawbar. This has a Bijur manual lubrication pump for way lubrication and an adjustable work lamp.

This machine appears to be in good condition and seems to have been taken care of during its life. I have powered it up and everything seems to function as it should. The table is in good condition and the original flaking is still visible. The power feed on the table works as well as the power feed in the head. There were no abnormal noises in the spindle or drive train as I ran it through the spindle speeds. The back gear works great as well.

This machine is powered up and local inspection is encouraged.

2000 Bridgeport 2HP Milling Machine

Up for sale is this model year 2000 Bridgeport knee mill. This is a 2HP Series 1 that has the 2J variable speed head with an RPM range of 60-4200. This has the large 9″ X 48″ table as well as chrome ways on the Y axis. It is equipped with a 2 axis Acurite DRO with SENC 150 glass scales and a Bridgeport 8F power feed for the X axis. This has a Bijur manual lubrication pump for way lubrication and an adjustable work lamp.

This machine appears to be in good condition and seems to have been taken care of. I have powered it up and everything seems to function as it should. There are no marks or mishaps on the table and the original flaking is still visible. The power feed on the table works as well as the power feed in the head. There were no abnormal noises in the spindle or drivetrain as I ran it through the spindle speeds. The back gear works great as well. I do notice the table movements get tight at the extremes of travel which is common for these machines when the work is always in the center of travel.

1995 Okamoto Linear 618 Surface Grinder

Up for sale is this 1995 Okamoto Linear 618 manual surface grinder. This is a 6″ X 18″ model that has a maximum capacity of 7.5″ X 18.0″. The maximum table travel is 8″ X 21″. This machine is equipped with a Walker electromagnetic LBP fine pole chuck as well as a Walker variable strength chuck control. This also has a factory installed Sony dual axis DRO model LH31A. The glass scales are high precision Sony Magnescale SR-180’s. This machine has a one shot lubrication pump for easy lubrication all around. This machine has a 2HP motor that is dual voltage and can be run on 230V or 460V. This machine has the additional coolant guard and nozzle. Included with this machine is a coolant pump/sump (Graymills brand) as well as all the cast iron machine feet.

The backlash in the cross feed dial is 0.003″-0.004″ throughout the entire length of travel. Much of the original hand flaking is still visible on both V ways as well which indicates low wear.

This is a very heavy duty and rigid roller ball way surface grinder (2020 lbs) and is one of the best made. This machine is made in Japan. To purchase a machine like this new would cost over $25,000. There is a good reason many of the best tool rooms choose Okamoto machines.

This machine is powered up and available for inspection.
