Up for sale is this Hardinge HLV-H Super Precision Tool Room Lathe. This was just taken out of service from a machine shop liquidation. This appears to be in nice condition and has the original paint. The compound is nice and smooth and the longitudinal travel of the carriage feels nice. The bed plate also looks very nice under the headstock. The cross slide gets tight at the end of travel and will need work but the machine is priced accordingly for this. The hardened wear strips can come un-glued from coolant intrusion and I suspect they need to be glued back down. It could use a good cleaning of course. This machine is equipped with a Southwestern Industries Trak 102 (proto-trak) DRO on both axis. Machine also includes the factory original work light. There is no tooling included with this machine but the lathe cabinet does have both collet carousels.
This machine has many late model features such as hardened and ground cross slide ways, tapered Hardinge spindle, wide bed plate with teflon lined carriage, pre-drilled DRO mounting points, ball bearing carriage rack gear and more.
This machine is wired for 208V 3 phase power.
